Sopris Chiropractic is looking for a full time doc. SC is located in the Willits area of Basalt half way between Glenwood Springs and Aspen, CO. Dr. Scott Tesoro founded the practice in 1995 and continues to provide chiropractic, dry needle technique, soft tissue therapies, exercise and rehab, wellness care nutrition, pre- and post-natal care and pediatrics to the active population of The Roaring Fork Valley.

Our Expectations

-Passion for working with a highly motivated, active patient population. Candidate should share an interest in an athletic lifestyle. Our patients are skiers, cyclists, runners, climbers, river rats, snow mobilers, dirt bikers and CrossFitters.

-Interest in working with pregnancy, post-natal care and pediatrics including infants.

-Must be available full time including later hours to accommodate working folks.

-Spanish language skills not required but a HUGE plus.

-Training in or agreement to become certified, within first year of employment, in Dry Needle Technique.

-Willing to work in a non-subluxation/philosophy based practice environment. While we recognize the innate ability of the body to heal, we are primarily a musculoskeletal-based practice that includes foundational pillars of good health such as movement, nutrition, and psychosocial health.

-Familiarity with the "biopsychosocial model" of pain

-Be comfortable conversing, referring and collaborating with our medical colleagues including orthopedists, neurologists, primary care physicians, radiologists, Ob/Gyn, mid wives, etc. We work TOGETHER to best address our patients' needs not defend our philosophical dogmas.

-COVID is real. Science isn't perfect but is also real and useful.

-You want to be part of an awesome team with no drama, deep connections, and respect for one another and to share a "the sky is the limit" attitude.

Our Valley

To the lucky visitor, this place is paradise. We have great schools, low crime, fantastic healthcare. The outdoor recreational opportunities are second to none. We enjoy hundreds of miles of hiking trails, singletrack mountain biking, quiet roads for cycling, a 40 mile bike path that stretches the entire length of the valley, Gold Medal trout fishing, five world famous ski mountains, multiple cross country centers, rec centers--the activities are endless. As well, our towns are vibrant and full of events year round. Festivals, arts and culture, farmers markets, restaurants, cafes and breweries, hot springs, world-class cultural offerings, and of course, shopping. It truly is an extraordinary place to call home.

Whats the catch?

All the above does not come cheap. This valley is one of the most expensive regions in the state. A single family house could easily set you back a million bucks. Apartments, condos and townhomes are also ridiculously expensive. It is hard to find rental housing as well. Gas, food, insurance... it's all more expensive here.

With that said, professionals like yourself do find ways to make a go of it in our valley. Dual incomes are helpful. Money in the bank, certainly helpful. Willingness to work really hard, a prerequisite.

For the right candidate, the potential for long term financial and career success at Sopris Chiropractic is high. Dr. Scott has been at this for close to 30 years and is looking forward to ultimately transitioning the practice to the right person over time.
